The Academic Advising Center, in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Colorado-Boulder, is an organization of advisors, faculty, staff, and administrators committed to enhancing the educational experience of undergraduate students. AAC members work collaboratively with students at all levels and from diverse backgrounds to identify, develop, implement, and attain meaningful educational and personal goals.
Academic Advising Center activities:
- Assisting students in acquiring accurate information to enable them to formulate and complete their academic goals;
- Referring students to the myriad of services, support systems, and informational resources available;
- Teaching students that discovering knowledge, personal responsibility, independence, and mutual respect are essential elements of a liberal arts education.

Arts & Sciences students only. Double degree students should follow the dates & deadlines of their primary college.

August 25 (Mon.) Classes begin.
September 1 (Mon.) Labor Day holiday. No classes. University closed.
September 3 (Wed.) Add Deadline: Deadline (11:59 p.m.) to add a course without the instructor’s approval. Wait List Deadline: Deadline (11:59 p.m.) to add your name to a course wait list.
September 10 (Wed.) Drop Deadline: Deadline (11:59 p.m.) to drop a course without being assessed tuition and fees for that course and without a W grade appearing on the transcript.
October 31 (Fri.) Deadline (11:59 p.m.) for students to drop a course without approval signatures via MyCUInfo. Note: Courses dropped after September 10th will receive a W grade on the transcript, and no refunds for tuition or fees are given for dropped courses. Deadline for students who have three or more final exams on the same day for Spring semester to make arrangements to change their final exam schedule.
November 24-28 (Mon. - Fri.) Fall break. No classes. University closed Thurs - Fri.
December 12 (Fri.) Last day of classes for Fall 2014. Last day for students to withdraw from the university for Fall semester.
December 13 (Sat.) Reading Day, Last Day to Apply for Graduation Online or Cancel an Application
December 14 - 18 (Sun - Thurs.) Final Exams Begin at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday
December 20 (Fri.) Fall 2014 commencement, Coors Events/Conference Center, 9:30 a.m.
